Jack Swanson, tenor with Gretchen Perkins, piano
This is an excellent opportunity for you to experience world quality performing, in Wm. Abbott Concert Hall. Free. Jack Swanson is performing on concert stages throughout the world, and has a Metropolitan Opera - NYC debut next spring. He also loves musicals, pop music, and holiday selections. This will showcase a variety of styles.

Stillwater resident Gretchen Perkins, pianist, works at Minnehaha Academy, has her own piano studio, and is active as an accompanist. Jack Swanson, Bio is 31 years old, from Stillwater, MN., with a family farm near Ellsworth, and a lake cabin nearby, he loves exploring the outdoors when not on the road singing in opera houses worldwide. In other words, he is raised like most midwestern individuals, yet has pursued his voice, dreams, and yet is completely grounded.

The internationally acclaimed BCP will perform a variety of styles and works for clarinet: Suite Jazz by Pedro Iturrailde: Czernowitzer Skizzen by Alexander Kukelka; Song Cycle by Jack Stamp with vocalist Lauren Shuyler; Concert Piece (world premier) by Jack Stamp; Fantasías Barcelónicas……Paquito D’Rivera and The ‘Classics’ by Andy Firth.

Lauren Shuyler, the soprano that recorded our song cycle will be with us in Wisconsin to perform the premiere of the song cycle. .Ivan, Konev, piano will also be on this world premiere performance by Dr. Jack Stamp.

Sunday, December 17, 3:00 pm, free: Holiday Concert featuring St. Croix Valley Symphony Orchestra, Trinity Lutheran Choir, with Tommy Glass, baritone in Stillwater, MN.
Conductors Kristin Tjornehoj and Clark Weyrauth, organist Carol Carver, Children’s Choir, plus the debut of the SCVSO Wind Quintet. Music to include arrangements of Sussex Carols, In the Bleak Midwinter, I’ll be home for Christmas, Hark the Herald Angel’s Sing, Joseph’s Carl and Gloria in Excelsis Deo plus Boston Pops: Christmas Scherzo.
